My practice has grown with me and is a direct reflection of my everyday life - including but not limited to - questions and topics of research that I immerse myself into, and the movement and flow of energy through my body and the space in which I occupy.

Much of my time is spent allowing myself to be dazzled by the world around me - for better or for worse because I believe that inspiration can come from anywhere or anyone at any time. I do not want to miss the light or the dark.

I have found that immersing myself in experiences, interactions, and my own self has allowed me to play and become for comfortably uncomfortable with diving into the deep waters of creating.

Over the years my practice has began to incorporate:  appreciation of the destruction and creation process, conscious reflection of self, body  movement, research of current questions about anything and everything - life, society, how the body works, nature, etc., - chances are if it enters my brain-space it will make its way into my sketchbook for processing.

So far, I have not met a medium that I do not like; however, in my current practice, my weapons of choice include:  acrylic paint, graphite, charcoal, blood, spit, hair, colored pencil, ink, textiles, and collage. Exploring and integrating aqueous mediums has been incredibly liberating - there is so much flexibility and freedom.

I feel that art serves as a mirror. This mirror reflects something - yes, fragments of me; however, I am also a mirror of the world in which we currently reside, who and what has come before us, and what is going to come after us.
